The Catrinas Parade of San Miguel de Allende is an annual event for locals and visitors who come to celebrate “day of the dead” festivities.

They all are invited to be part of this exciting and colorful parade

This year, in addition to the traditional parade, we will have a Catrina Expo in the INSTITUTO ALLENDE.

This “kind of market” will be on October 30, 31 and November 1 from 12:00 noon until 7:00pm 3 days.

On the Expo days, booths will be set up for you to purchase arts and crafts, paintings, accessories, flowers, souvenirs, clothing, hats and jewelry. You can also buy drinks and traditional foods to enjoy while enjoying your time at the Expo.

There will be a h professional makeup artists, dresses for rent, hats to decorate and anything else you might need to prepare yourself for the Catrinas Parade.
On November 1st evening at 7:00pm all those in the parade will meet to take the traditional photograph of the
many Catrinas & Catrines that will line up for the parade.

The parade will depart from INSTITUTO ALLENDE at 8:00pm walking towards the historic center of San Miguel. Once everyone arrives, there will be a contest for the Best Costume Catrina and Catrine.

In order to be part of this annual Catrinas event, a ticket package is available fro $250 pesos which inludes:
– the entrance to the 3 day Expo & Parade
– a non-decorated Catrina or Catrin hat
– a bag with candy inside to hand out to the children
during the parade
– one margarita or beer
-make up is extra (you can select the supplier of your preference)
